Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow, so we're in for an early spring! That is if you believe in the prognostications of a rodent. That’s good news for us. The sooner we can use our beautiful back yard, the better! But we managed to muddle through January, so there’s that. It was our best January yet, despite all the precipitation and sober January. Now we’re staring down February, eager for this month’s Kink ‘n’ Draw, Valentine’s Day and all the other romantically inclined celebrations. What about you? Are you up for finding your people? An eclectic cast of characters? Some intellectual conversation? (And some not so!) We’re always recruiting new members to our Gallery of Weirdos. Maybe you’ll be our next newbie! Woohoo! How did THAT happen? A whole new decade! And we’re entering Lucky’s fourth big year on Avenue B! It has certainly been a wild ride, one we couldn’t have weathered without YOU, our loyal customers!
January feels like the longest month. All the Christmas decorations are down, we have no holidays to look forward to and the weather is just dark and gray. But we DO have something to celebrate and that is Customer #1’s retirement! He’s throwing a big bash so we have THAT to anticipate! WOOT! What else? Well, forgive us for eagerly awaiting the warmer weather. Which, oddly, we’re expecting this weekend with a warm front that is destined to break records. We’ll take it! Maybe we can all enjoy the back yard for a few days! But then it will be back to winter, to February and onward. We do hope you’ll spend some of those dark winter days with us! And on February 1st you can join us for our second Crone celebration, Imbolc! Enjoy, everyone!
December appears to be coming in like a…snowcone machine! It’s positively pelting out there! Yes, a grey day and chilly start to this crazy month! Here’s hoping foul weather won’t keep you at home! We have not one but FIVE Holiday Markets for you this month! Those are in addition to our annual Ugly Sweater Party with the NYC Gay Craft Beer Lovers, our fourth Kink ‘n’ Draw Kinky XXXMas celebration, the first night of Hanukkah, our TWO December Burning Man Happy Hours, including Christmas Day (yes, we’re open!) and, of course, New Year’s Eve! Check our Events pages for all the info! We’re still in shock that Halloween is over, so we’re still having trouble grappling with it being December already. Oy vey! BRING IT!
