Hrm, we haven't posted anything here since New Year's. Whoops! Stop by and celebrate Lucky's one year anniversary! We'll be celebrating from Thursday, June 29 (our actual first day in business in 2016) till we close Sunday, July 2. That's ALL WEEKEND, folks!

Well, it's been just over six months now and Lucky is thriving, with the much-appreciated assistance of beloved regulars and supportive friends. Each month has seen more profits than the previous and we are very much looking forward to the next six! The staff has (finally) fallen into a somewhat predictable schedule, which should prove a benefit for us as well as our customers. In the new year, you can look forward to a few exciting new additions:
Music Mondays - The East Village is home to some wonderful live music and Mondays seem to be particularly popular. We've decided to join Rue B, Mona's and 11th Street Bar in programming music on Monday nights. Expect mostly acoustic singer-songwriter type stuff, with a few oddball offerings tossed in for good measure. Mondays are also Marathon Happy Hour Mondays, so you can take advantage of the music and the two-for-one drink and draft beer specials!
The Penny Project - Inspired by the beautiful bathrooms at House of Yes, we've been planning on "paving" the bathroom walls with "good luck" pennies. We've ordered glitter grout from the UK to seal them in. So look forward to that!
It's A Sign! - Bars can always use additional signage! We've ordered a neon LUCKY sign for the front window and received the Lucky logo in neon as a Christmas gift. Let there be NEON light! Also, our dear friend Tamsin is visiting from Barcelona and she is sketching ideas for better (and hopefully more easily recognizable) bathroom signage.
Garden Improvements - When the weather warms up, there will be more improvements made in the back yard. Plants! Better lighting! And hopefully a more functional canopy. Those warm nights can't come soon enough!
A Full Jukebox - Our uber-eclectic jukebox has been a work in progress. We're hoping that we will have all 100 slots filled soon! Stay tuned!

Wow, we haven't updated this page since September. Oops! Time has been flying. Over the past few months, we've hosted all kinds of parties, provided space for protest movements and arts organizations, and cultivated a number of wonderful, very-much-appreciated regulars.
Click over to our Menu page to see our latest draft beer and seasonal drink special options! Also, from now through the end of the year, Lucky is holding both a New York Cares Coat Drive and a food drive for a local food bank. If you bring by either a coat or shelf-stable food (canned goods, pasta, rice) we'll warm you up with a free shot.
If, over these hectic holidays, you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, we invite you to stop by for a warm beverage and warmer company. Escape the shopping insanity. Take a break from the 24-hour news cycle. Maybe make a new friend. The bar will be super festive! And for those of you in on the LDB game, we can guarantee you a safe space. NO Little Drummer Boy on the jukebox!
Lucky would like to wish everyone, regardless of faith -- including a total absence of any -- a joyous season. It's a time to appreciate the people we love, and who love us, because what else is there? We feel oh so fortunate -- LUCKY! -- to be here for you!
