Somehow we've made it through two months' worth of our "Summer of Soft Openings" and we're gearing up for our Official Grand Opening on Saturday, September 24th. We also had our first piece of press! The article, on Bedford + Bowery, was written by Nicole Disser with the headline "Can This New Bar Reduce The East Village's Douche Factor?" We sure hope so! You can check it out here. We're cringing in anticipation of the douchey comments. And army of frat dudes carrying DOUCHE LIVES MATTERS signs into the bar. Oy vey.
Stop by and say hi over Labor Day Weekend. We'll be serving up ice cold beer in cans and bottles. Next week: DRAUGHT BEER!
While we weren't paying attention, the calendar tumbled over into August! Holy crap! We've been open over a month now!
So what's new? The demolition of the old walk-in is scheduled and the new walk-in will be installed soon, so draft beers will be happening soon!
As the dog days of summer descend upon us, events are being scheduled into October (gulp!) and we are eager for crisp days and no more humidity!
We have a bunch of fun stuff coming up, including numerous birthday celebrations, a dog adoption event, a wedding reception and Fineline Tattoo's 40 Anniversary Bash.
In mid-September, get out your dirndls and lederhosen for Oktoberfest!
And stay tuned for the Official Grand Opening, tentatively scheduled for the weekend -- and we mean ALL weekend -- of September 23-25.

It was a marathon weekend again at Lucky! We got our web site painted on the housing of the roll-down gate by Anne of Paint The Town. K Jae Bohéme-Spins is painting an E.B.White quote on one of our walls: "No one should come to New York to live unless he is willing to be lucky." We've been creating new cocktails, muddling delicious mocktails and we celebrated Sunday barmaid Pinky's 35th birthday. That was a 13-hour extravaganza -- WITH a booze luge!
