Everyone loves the Easter Parade, the fashionable Fifth Avenue promenade of fantastic chapeaux and springtime finery. Sadly, it is cancelled again this year. So clever costumers Christopher and Abby, who brought you the Renegade Mermaid Parade, are teaming up again for an Easter Sunday stroll.

Pull out your most colorful ensemble, get out your glue gun and craft yourself an Easter Bonnet TO MATCH YOUR MASK and take a runway model walk around the park! There are always dozens of East Village denizens enjoying the day on the benches and lawns, so you'll have a built in audience. And if you'd like to participate in the Easter Bonnet Contest you can parade up Avenue B past Lucky's panel of Judgey McJudgersons to win faaaaaabulous prizes.

The East Village Independent Merchants Association will be part of this neighborhood-wide celebration of Spring. Anyone who would like to take part in the Easter Bonnet Contest can post a photo to the Facebook event page. You can even enter from your living room if you're still sheltering in place!

Do some merry spray chalk stenciling with Mari and Thatcher! We will be adding activities as ideas occur to us or others step up to offer fun! Get in touch if you'd like to blow bubbles or anything else creative and crafty!
