Jacqueline Kato is a London-born artist living and working in Barcelona. Her work is about daydreaming....the spirits we become and the places that we go to when we daydream. She makes original screen prints on paper, wood and perspex. Recently she concieved her “WooWoo Tribe,” limited edition dancing marionettes. Inspired by dreams, fantasy and circus, each one is individually hand crafted: hand drawn, hand pulled screenprints onto wood with metallic leaf, pearlescent inks and jewels. “WooWoo Tribe” characters each have their own personality and unique details. The “WooWoos” will dance when you pull their bejewelled strings. Sizes are 60cms or 200cms in height but they can also be custom made. Jacqueline also runs an art space in Barcelona, Tallercito3, where she holds exhibitions and events.
